“Dinner and a Movie” has a New Meaning at Northlake Mall
Here’s a great way to kick off a $50 million expansion and renovation – add dining to one of the most successful multiscreen cinemas around. That’s what’s happening at Charlotte’s premier retail and dining destination, Northlake Mall, where the 14-screen AMC cinema will add a MacGuffins Bar & Lounge by late fall. This expansion is just one of many in the center as existing retailers showcase new lines and products. Victoria’s Secret will expand to 8,377 square feet on the mall’s upper level to include its PINK line, aimed at college-age women and a huge hit with shoppers around the country. Recently, Bath & Body Works expanded to include a connected White Barn store in a new, 5,040-square-foot location in the lower level Grand Court. On the fitness side, Foot Locker has relocated to a temporary location on the upper level near Apple as it renovates and expands its original location between the Grand Court and Dillard’s.
“Northlake Mall has long been a haven of comfort, style and fine dining in the fast-growing, family-oriented Charlotte market,” says Rob Hense, senior vice president of development. “That will be even more true when we add additional food experiences, home furnishings, and entertainment with our expansion, which will begin construction next year.”
